A pensioner was taken to hospital after being involved in a collision with a car.

The incident happened when the woman, who is in her 70s, was crossing Connaught Avenue, Frinton, at about 11am yesterday
She was attended by a nurse and ambulance at the scene and she was then taken to Clacton Hospital.
She was released after being treated for a serious arm injury.
The busy shopping street was closed for a short time as four police cars dealt with the incident.
