A Spitfire flying over Halstead will be the highlight of an annual fete raising money for a hi-tech rehabilitation centre in the town.
The Halstead Hospital League of Friends fete will be held in the town's public gardens, off Trinity Street, on Sunday, July 11.
The fete will take place between 1pm and 5pm. It will include stalls and other attractions throughout the afternoon.
The highlight will be when pilot Carolyn Gray performs a flypast at about 3pm to help the fundraising efforts and to commemorate 60 years since D-Day.
Lyn Lucas, one of the organisers, said: "We still need more people and organisers to run stalls and just help out on the day.
"We also need people who can help by loaning us some equipment." If you can help, contact Lyn Lucas on 07970 993676.
