Care staff are looking forward to welcoming their colleague back to work after she was cleared of international drug trafficking charges.
Marianne Telfer, a registered manager at Acorn Village in Mistley, was today due to be freed from prison in the Dominican Republic, where she has been held since February.
Staff at the home for adults with learning difficulties yesterday said they were "delighted and thrilled" with the news.
Chief executive Ray Ablett said: "We are all delighted and thrilled to hear of the news of Marianne's release from custody and that she has been cleared of all charges against her."
Marianne has been held in jail in the Caribbean charged with international drug trafficking for four months.
She was charged after her boyfriend, Richard Flack, died in their hotel room. He had swallowed condoms filled with cocaine which had split in his stomach.
