A squad of 11 junior and five senior archers from Rayleigh Town Archery Club took part in Basildon based Racketts' open competition with some success.
The rounds consisted of eight dozen arrows -- four dozen shot at each of two distances.
Harry Hague (696), shooting 30/20 yds, won a bronze medal for under-12 boy category.
Emily Reader (595), shooting 40/30 yds, won gold, with Lindsay Plant (541) taking silver and Ruth Jerman (453) bronze -- all in the under-16 girl category.
Luke Willett (762), shooting 40/30 yds, won silver and James Phillips (716) bronze in the under-14 boy category.
Paul Lees (774) took gold, and John Guiton (700) bronze in the under-16 boy category. Craig Solkhon (739) won bronze in the under-16 boy compound category. Alex Johns (746) collected gold in the Western Junior section.
Paul, Luke and Alex, with a combined score of 2282, took first place in the team event to Mayflower's second with 1981 points.
