Former Southend United boss Rob Newman is aiming for a return to management with AFC Telford United.
Newman has had informal talks with the new club, which rose out of the ashes of Telford United following the Conference side's financial demise last month.
AFC Telford has been formed by supporters and will compete in the Unibond Northern League Division One - a drop of three divisions from the Conference.
And Newman is anxious to take charge after being sacked as Shrimpers gaffer in March last year.
"I am desperate to get back into management and I think this represents a great opportunity," said Newman.
