When the Powerade PGA Assistants' Championship regional qualifier was held at Panshanger Golf Club, Aaron Quinn, from the Essex Golf Complex at Garon Park, Southend, finished joint seventh.
He had rounds of 71 and 76 for 147 to be among the top 10 to qualify for the national 54-hole championship to be played between September 28-30 over the par 73 course at Coventry.
Winner in the Midlands will not only pick up £2,400 but also have the chance to play in the USPGA TaylorMade adidas Assistants' Championship at Port St Lucie in Florida and the Australian Futures Championship at Newcastle.
