Trendy teenagers from the same Benfleet school scooped the top awards in a county-wide fashion competition.

Samantha Lawrance, 15, of Briarwood Drive, Leigh, and Claire Scott, 15, of Flemming Avenue, Leigh, came first and second respectively in the contest run by Basildon and Thurrock College.
The textiles students from Deanes School, Thundersley, had to pick a country and design an outfit for what they would most like to do there.
Samantha said: "I designed an outfit for going out in a Spanish restaurant. It was a flower print skirt and a flared sleeve top."
Claire said: "My design was an ice-skating outfit. There was an American flag on the back and I used stars to decorate ribbons hanging off the skirt."
