Billericay suffered another reverse on the road as they crashed to a 33-run defeat away at Hutton.
The home side were put into bat by Billericay but with young Essex prospect Dave Hammond hitting a well-groomed 84, Horndon reached a respectable 223-8 total.
Nathan Bateson was again the pick of the Billericay bowling attack however -- as the youngster took another four wickets.
But, his best efforts proved to be in vain as the visitors were all bowled out for 190.
