An enterprising South Woodham family is taking steps to improve facilities for youngsters in the town by opening an indoor adventure play centre.

Annabel Hubbert, with dad Trevor Hubbert and sister Sarah Cross, 26, plan to open a multi-level facility, a smaller version of a facility like Maldon's popular Monkey Puzzle at Madison Heights.

Two-year planning permission has been secured for the venture on Blackhall Industrial Estate, off Hamberts Road Annabel, 28, who is mum to twins Georgia and Jasmine, said parents need more places in the town to take their children.

"At the moment there isn't really anything else, except for Marsh Farm and Tropical Wings," said Annabel, who has lived in South Woodham for 15 years

"Because I've got three-year-old twins I know that parents need somewhere to go. Everybody I've spoken to said it's so needed."
