Police are warning people not to approach two escaped convicts who could be heading this way.
Darryl Ball and Gareth William Grainger were reported missing from Hollesley Bay open unit yesterday morning.
Both have connections with the north Essex area.
Police are warning people not to approach the men if they spot them. Instead, they should call 999 immediately.
Grainger, 22, was serving a five-and-a-half-year sentence for possession of drugs with intent to supply. He has connections with the Colchester area.
He is described as white, 5ft 11ins, medium build with a round face, brown hair and brown eyes. He has scars on his head, and a scar on his left arm.
Ball, 18, was serving nine months for theft. He has connections with the Clacton area.
He is described as white, 5ft 10ins, thin build, with blond hair, brown eyes and an angular face. He has a tattoo on his back and at the top of his right arm.
Hollesley Bay, at Woodbridge, Suffolk, houses young offenders, category D prisoners, which is at the lower end of the scale, and life sentence prisoners approaching the end of their sentence.
