A man has been taken to hospital unconscious after collapsing at a factory.
The air ambulance was called to Europlatz Technologies, at The Maltings industrial estate, Southminster, at 10.30am yesterday.
Paul Leaman, deputy chief executive at Essex Ambulance Service, said the man was unconscious when the ambulance crew arrived and after initial checks he was flown to Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford.
Europlaz confirmed that an employee had been taken ill and left in the care of the air ambulance.
