Child prodigy Victoria Goldsmith has been named Essex Young Musician of the Year.
Victoria, 13, of Stanway, was in London yesterday to open the Harrods summer sale alongside pop star Christina Aguilera and shop owner Mohammed Al Fayed.
Along with the Essex Musician title, Victoria won £600, a trophy and paid recitals in the future.
Competition organisers described Victoria as "a wonderful player, absolutely amazing", adding that she was a prodigy.
Victoria was asked to appear at the Harrods sale opening after being spotted at a charity concert in London.
She played Rimsky-Korsakov's Flight of the Bumblebee as shoppers poured into the store to get the bargains.
