Patrols of Castle Park, a litter hotspot, have been increased to combat the litter problem.
This follows a successful spring clean of the borough.
Street care officers will pilot a new initiative targeting damage caused to verges by car parking.
Notices will be issued and failure to remove these vehicles may result in the recovery cost of reinstating the verge and could also lead to prosecution.
