More than 50 children and their cuddly friends came together for a teddy bears' picnic in Chalkwell Park, Westcliff.

The youngsters from across the Southend area were invited to the free event.
One of the organisers, Helen Jordan, 34, said: "It was a supervised freedom for them. They could pretty much do what they liked without us saying yes or no."
The children brought their own teddies and a packed lunch for the event organised by the Southend Borough Childminding Association.
