A teenager is "devastated" following the theft of her birthday present from a Heybridge holiday park.
Charlotte Baker's mum, Joanne, said the Kawasaki Ultra 150 waterbike stolen from the Osea Caravan Park in Goldhanger Road early last Thursday was bought for her daughter's 14th birthday in March.
It is a 1999 model, with a red ski and a white hull, said Mrs Baker.
A Sierra-type car used by thieves, who cut a chain to steal the £3,000 waterbike from outside the family's holiday caravan, was caught on CCTV at 1.20am.
Unfortunately it wasn't possible to read the car's registration number, said Mrs Baker.
The family, who live in London, are offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of the thieves.
Anyone with information about the theft is asked to ring Maldon police on 01621 852255.
