The group, from the Deanes School in Daws Heath Road, will enjoy three weeks of sport, Chinese-style, at their linked school, Meylong Middle School.
The trip, arranged by the British Council, is possible because of Deanes' status as a sports college. Trip leader Stephen Cook said: "It's going to be a fantastic experience."
The school hopes the trip will be the start of chances for students from both Deanes and Meylong to learn from each other.
