A gang of smartly-dressed women pickpocketing pensioners shopping in charity shops were today being hunted by police.
The group, believed to be in their mid-thirties and from Eastern Europe, have been operating in Basildon town centre for more than a month.
They have already struck around 15 times, including twice on Tuesday.
