A Southend supermarket letterbox almost had emergency services licked after a young girl posted her arm as well as her mail.
Firefighters were called to free the three-year-old from Westcliff when her arm became stuck in the letterbox outside Sainsbury's, in London Road, Southend.
David Francis, ambulance technician for Essex Ambulance Service, said: "The little girl was really brave despite being in quite a bit of pain and there were only a few tears."
