Southend United manager Steve Tilson has been holding further talks with out-of-contract keeper Darryl Flahavan.
Darryl Flahavan
The former Southampton custodian has been offered a new one-year deal with the Shrimpers - despite the signing of Bart Griemink, who looks set to start next season as the club's first choice between the sticks.
But Blues Boss Tilson revealed today Flahavan could yet extend his spell with the League Two side.
"Darryl came back in for training yesterday with the rest of the lads," confirmed the Seasiders chief. And I'll be talking to him again shortly about the contract and what he wants to do."
Flahavan, who originally joined Blues back in October 2000, has been offered a deal on the same money as last season, but is believed to be considering his options.
