A family has offered a reward for information leading to the recovery of a jet ski stolen from their Maldon caravan.

Thieves broke into the Osea Caravan Park in Goldhanger Road on June 24 and stole a Kawasaki Ultra 150 jet ski that belonged to 14-year-old Charlotte Baker.

The family, who live in London, have been coming to the area for around 20 years and had saved £3,000 to buy the jet ski as a birthday present for Charlotte two months ago.

Her mother Joanne said that her daughter is "devastated".

Mrs Baker said the family is offering a reward for information leading to the jet ski's return. The theft took place at around 1.20am and subsequent CCTV footage from the park showed the trailer, which belonged to Charlotte's friend, being pulled by what may have been a dark-coloured Ford Sierra.

Anyone with information about the theft should contact Maldon police on 01621 852255.
