Fabian Wilnis is stalling over whether to sign a new deal with Ipswich Town.

The popular defender was remaining tight-lipped about the situation as he told the Evening Gazette: "I will not be speaking about it until I've sat down with the manager."

The right-back, who made 46 appearances for the Blues last season, is hoping to make up his mind after talks with supremo Joe Royle have been finalised.

Chris Makin looks set to turn down a new two-month deal. The 31-year-old defender, who spent over eight months on the sidelines due to a hip injury, did not turn up for training yesterday and has attracted interest from Championship rivals Queens Park Rangers.

Royle said: "I have been trying to contact him but to no avail and until I speak to him, I don't know what he is doing or where he will be playing football next season."
