Two Basildon boys got a pleasant surprise when their mum took them shopping.

A flight of fancy? Conor and Daniel jump in the helicopter at Asda, while Les Walker, from the store, walks past with a line of trolleys Picture: MIKE MINERS 2FJPJ1

Expecting to follow the trolley around the Asda store at Pipps Hill Retail Park, they leapt into a helicopter instead.

Conor, ten, and Daniel Eustace, 16, from Whitmore Way, were just two of the youngsters who persuaded their parents to cough up for a quick play and picture in the former Navy craft.

The cash the 45-year-old helicopter raised headed straight for the Helicopter Museum at Weston-Super-Mare in Somerset.
