Dean Bowditch believes Colchester United would be backing a winner if they offered a contract to his brother Ben.
The Ipswich Town protege is tipping his sibling to become a hit with the U's - if he is given a chance to shine at Layer Road.
Ben Bowditch is currently on trial with the club and due to play - potentially for the last time - in tonight's glamorous pre-season friendly against Charlton Athletic.
And, speaking after making both goals in Ipswich's 2-1 success against Osasuna, Bowditch junior told the Evening Gazette: "Ben's a fantastic player.
"And, with Colchester being such a solid, up-and-coming club, they could do very well for each other.
"By all accounts, he's done a good job since he's been there and the manager seems to like him so we've got our fingers crossed."
