Harwich and Parkeston booked a lucrative FA Cup tie with non-league giants Hornchurch last night when they cruised past Ruislip Manor.

In their first qualifying round replay, Mitchell Springett's men overcame the side who knocked Tiptree United out at the last stage.

The game takes place at The Royal Oak in ten days' time.

Clacton Town brushed aside Barkingside 3-1 in the first round of the Essex Senior Cup thanks to goals from Sean Hillier, Dave Barefield and Paul Hillier.

Halstead Town return to Ridgeons League premier division action tonight when they visit Histon Reserves.

The Cambridgeshire side have had a disastrous start to the campaign, losing eight of their first nine games, and they lie second from bottom of the table.

But Town boss Andy Clark said: "Histon may have started the season off poorly, but they won 2-1 at Diss on Saturday so we won't be taking anything for granted."
