Danielle Tatum was the first Eastern Counties woman home at the three and a half kilometre Margate International race.
The Colchester and Tendring Athletics Club member was representing the Eastern Counties and completed the firm terrain in seventh place.
The 18-year-old was also the third English runner to finish in her time of 12 minutes and 43 seconds.
Tatum's fine run saw her team collect the silver medal, behind the Belgium squad but ahead of Wales in third place.
Grace Greenhalgh was also representing the Eastern Counties in the senior ladies 5.5km race. After a cautious start, the 25-year-old moved up a gear in the second half of the race and looked full of confidence as she came home in a superb ninth place in 19m 23.
She was the second Eastern County athlete to finish helping her senior team to finish second overall, just behind a strong England outfit.
Coach John Hyland said of the duo's achievements: "Their dedication, determination and desire to do well is a fine example to their peer group and a credit to the amateur grass roots of the sport in this day and age of professionalism."
