Residents of Harrington Close, Tiptree, are upset over proposals to build housing and a training ground for Colchester United overlooking their own houses.
These are the same houses that not so long ago were built on the muddy lane that was “Bung Row”, and the very place where my mates and I as kids spent all our time playing on old motor bikes and building dens.
“What goes around comes around” comes to mind.
Residents, don’t be hypocritical, embrace the changes or start again yourselves – but not on somebody else’s playground this time please.
