A MAN had to be taken to hospital after a three vehicle crash in Tiptree.
Police were called to the pile-up in Factory Hill at 7.50am.
A Vauxhall Vivaro van, a Volkswagen Passat car and a Mercedes E-Series car were all involved in the collision.
The Vauxhall driver, a 31-year-old man from Tiptree, was taken by ambulance to Colchester General Hospital suffering from whiplash, cuts and bruises.
The Mercedes driver, a 49-year-old man from Colchester, received treatment at the scene for a sore nose and cuts to his forehead.
