TWO men were attacked by robbers and marched to a cashpoint in Colchester.

The men, both 19 and from the town, were attacked in Barrack Street by a pair of thugs, who punched them, and ordered them to empty their pockets.

They were then marched to the nearby Tesco store and told to withdraw money from a cash machine while the thugs watched them enter their pin numbers.

The robbers then made off with the money and the cards, leaving the victims shaken, and with minor cuts and bruises.

A Samsung mobile phone, an ipod Touch, a Sony MP3 player, £8 in loose change and a black and brown leather wallet were also taken in the attack, between 4am and 5.15am on Sunday.

Both robbers were white, and in their twenties.

One was about 5ft 11ins tall and skinny, with short, brown hair wearing a red, hooded top with a navy blue tracksuit top over it, navy blue tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.

The second about 6ft 1ins tall and well-built.

He wore a black hooded top, with a cream sports jacket over the top and grey tracksuit bottoms. He was carrying a white, drawstring carrier bag.
