On Wednesday I had to walk to the doctor’s in Mersea Road, Colchester, with my son.
It was snowing quite fast and the driving conditions were dangerous as the snow was turning to ice on the road as the cars were driving over it and compacting it down.
Yet, despite this, we saw at least four drivers still using mobile phones.
Surely this just goes to prove the law we have in place today is no deterrent to stop these drivers acting like idiots.
It should be, if you’re caught using a mobile phone while driving, you lose your driving licence.
It is bad enough to see these drivers who think themselves better than everybody else driving while on the phone under normal days’ weather conditions, let alone in the weather we have had of late.
