FIREFIGHTERS tackled a car on fire in Birch.
They received a call to the blazing vehicle in Birch Road at about 4.50pm.
One fire engine was initially sent to the scene, but 20 minutes later they called for support from a second pump due to a water shortage.
The road was blocked while emergency services dealt with it.
