A WOMAN escaped unhurt after the car she was driving caught fire in Colchester on Monday. The emergency services were called to Queen Street at 4:50pm to tackle the blaze. The road was closed between the High Street and Southway during the incident.
Police diverted traffic along Brook Street while firefighters put the fire out.
The driver of the black Volvo escaped injury and did not need hospital treatment.
