I feel I must respond to Jordan Newell’s statement (Letters, November 25) that the Liberal Democrats believe someone aged 26 is “too young” to know what they are talking about.
I am 26 and Martin Goss and all of the Colchester Liberal Democrats have given me much support and encouragement.
I have not yet met anyone who was not delighted to see someone so “young” being involved.
Martin Goss may have confused his words, but his comments were referring to your maturity.
You obviously haven’t learnt much during your life experiences, otherwise you would do some research before you made your unjustified attacks on Bob Russell (Letters, November 18), who has always stood by the people of Colchester, choosing to represent us, not promoting himself or the party’s interests.
