The people of Essex should stand shoulder to shoulder against the East of England Regional Assembly.
All of us who live and work here in Essex know the roads are full to bursting, yet we are still told we must accept x-amount of new houses a year in all areas.
We are sold the idea they are doing all this for us with affordable housing for our children. What utter tosh!
Once the homes are sold, they are liable to the same market forces as every other property and the demand drives that market, not empty promises from developers.
I suggest everyone in Essex stands up and says no. Enough is enough.
Essex should no longer be seen as London’s dumping ground.
