Gardens are used as toilets WE read with interest June Ingham’s letter in the Gazette on November 19.

We live in the almshouses in Winnock Road, Colchester, and as well as having our gardens used as toilets day and night, we have had three cycles chained to posts in the middle of the our garden by people using the Twist venue.

We also have people walking along our boundary wall and throwing empty beer cans and bottles on to our lawns as they leave the town centre late at night.

When the new club opens in St Botloph’s Street, we feel sure that things will get worse.

Would the people who approve these plans like their gardens used as toilets or dustbins? We think not.
