MESSAGES of support for the family of Stella Akanbi have been removed from Clacton seafront.

Police officers took the cards and soft toys at lunchtime.

Officers want to reassure residents and visitors that the items have been taken now so they are not ruined by the rain.

They are now being sent to Stella's family in Milton Keynes for them to see.
