IF you thought the man behind the Googlewhack Adventure and Are You Dave Gorman? had run out of ideas, think again.

Comedian Dave Gorman is heading back out on the road literally, as he rides from show to show on the first leg of his new UK stand-up tour.

Five years after he last toured, the comic-cum-film-maker is getting out his bike to cycle 1,500 miles between the 31 venues, which includes Ipswich’s Regent Theatre.

On the journey, the intrepid humourist will travel from Britain’s southernmost point to its northernmost tip, taking in the most easterly and westerly points.

In typical unorthodox style, Dave will be performing at a variety of venues, including village halls, a barn, a railway dining car, as well as 2,000 seat theatres.

The idea for the tour actually started as an idea for a bike ride, before the comedian decided to do a gig every night along the way.

Dave will be playing at the Regent Theatre, in St Helens Street, on September 7.

Ticket are £15. To book, call the box office on 01473 433100.
