By day, Ron Bowers is a modest and unassuming alarm engineer – but he has an uncanny special gift.
In his spare time he is a ghost hunter and a psychic photographer.
He has travelled around the region capturing spooky sightings and apparitions, bright white balls of light and eerie outlines.
The father of four, who lives in Holland-on-Sea has taken pictures in houses, churchyards and ruins, in country lanes and outside priories.
His psychic photographs are now in a book published by an American company, and backed by paranormal expert and author Christina Schumacher.
Mr Bowers has captured on film a man and his dog in Sladbury’s Lane, in Great Holland, and a woman in Brightlingsea churchyard. There are orbs and a woman with a box in Treasure Holt at Burrsville, and ghostly figures at Mistley Towers and in Manningtree.
Three figures are shown in the ruins of Alresford Church and a Victorian woman outside St Osyth Priory.
His book, A Gift from Spirit, includes 70 photographs of sightings.
