A BOARD game inventor is hoping to win players over with his latest creation.
John Wildsmith hopes his board game, Retsami, will become a household name like chess and backgammon.
The 64-year-old former barrister, of York Road, Bright-lingsea, first created it six years ago when he left the law and decided to design a classic two-player game.
It remained gathering dust on a shelf for years until he returned to it recently.
He said: “I thought it had commercial possibilites as I became aware there was a scarcity of two-player games that could rank along with chess and backgammon.”
Since then he has spent £20,000 of his own money in its design and manufacture and it is now on sale in Brightlingsea and on his website: retsami.com.
