Cheerleaders entertained thousands of spectators at a packed village fete.
At least 4,000 visitors flocked to the event at Glebe Field, next to St Michael’s Church, The Street, Kirby.
There were more than 50 stalls, including traditional fete activities such as swing-the-log and splat-the-rat.
About £13,500 was taken on the day and, once expenses are paid, thousands of pounds will be split between St Michael’s Church and local organisations.
David Payne, chairman of Kirby Fete Committee, said: “It was brilliant, it was packed and heaving with people, certainly as many as last year, if not more."
Volunteers are needed to help organise next year’s event, with preparations starting in about two months’ time.
