Drivers are being warned of potential delays while a major stretch of the A12 is closed for works.
The northbound carriageway of the busy route will be closed between junction 19 (Boreham Interchange) and junction 25 (Marks Tey Interchange) from 9pm to 5am for resurfacing and road marking works.
The closure, which starts today (September 14), will remain in place for 30 days until October 10.
A spokesperson for National Highways said: "Please remember that closures can change at short notice.
"You can check the latest information on our daily closures page.
"Our travel alerts give details of live incidents on our network."
A diversion route is in place for affected drivers.
Motorists will be directed to exit the A12 at junction 19 and follow the A131 (Beaulieu Parkway/Channels Drive) to the A120 at Great Notley before rejoining the A12 at junction 25.
The works are part of planned maintenance between Colchester and Chelmsford.
