A car fire has closed one lane of a major road.

The incident is on the Colchester-bound A12 between junctions 11 and 12 near Brentwood, causing long delays and congestion.

Emergency services are on the scene.

Delays are currently in excess of 30 minutes on the approach with two miles of congestion.
