A pub in East Bergholt has applied to vary its premises licence to extend its opening hours and update several conditions attached to the venue's operation.
The Hare & Hounds application, submitted on behalf of licence holder Robert Woodward, seeks permission for the pub to open to the public from 7am until 12.30am every day, with an extension until 2am on New Year's Eve.
The proposed changes would also allow alcohol sales from 9am until midnight seven days a week, recorded music from 10am until midnight, and the provision of late-night refreshments from 11pm until midnight.
On New Year's Eve, the venue is seeking permission for these activities to continue until 1.30am.
According to the application, the changes are intended to update older licence conditions and bring operating hours into line with the pub's business plans.

The applicant has also proposed a range of measures aimed at promoting the licensing objectives, including staff training, maintaining an incident register, operating a Challenge 25 scheme, keeping a refusals book, and displaying signage encouraging customers to respect neighbours when leaving the premises.
The pub, located on Heath Road, East Bergholt, currently has a premises licence allowing the sale of alcohol under more restrictive hours, and the application seeks to replace a number of historic conditions attached to that licence.
A decision on the application will be made by the licensing authority following the consultation period.
