Drivers are facing delays of more than an hour on the M25 following a crash.

The incident, which involved a car and a lorry, happened on the clockwise carriageway between junction 26 for Waltham Abbey and junction 27 for the M11, with two lanes currently closed.

Queues stretch back to junction 25 for Enfield, with National Highways reporting five miles of traffic on the approach.

The AA reports severe delays of 62 minutes, with hold-ups worsening.

The crash has happened at the entrance to the Bell Common Tunnel, with lanes one and two closed.

Recovery has been requested, but the cause of the crash remains unclear.

Drivers are advised to seek alternative routes where possible.
