Colchester residents can now sign up to be the first to enjoy an exciting new addition coming to the city centre this winter.
Culver Square will soon transform with the arrival of an ice rink from December.
Culver Square Shopping Centre submitted a planning application to transform the square back in June.
Plans have been approved and the shopping centre now has permission to remove the fountain and sculpture which has been there since it first opened in 1988.
The planned transformation aims to create a more event friendly space in the heart of the city centre.
The ice rink will arrive in a couple of months and those interested can now sign up for pre-sale tickets.

A notice of a planning decision from August outlined some of the conditions of approval for the wider transformation of the space.
It said: “No development shall commence until details of the relocation, installation and long-term display of the Sea Holly sculpture have been submitted to and approved by the local planning authority.
“The submitted details shall include the proposed location of the sculpture; and the arrangements and timescales for public accessibility and display.”
