Singer-songwriter to walk 180 miles between south coast gigs

Si Connelly will travel entirely on foot between concert venues, carrying only his guitar, backpack, and essential equipment.

The first leg of The Walking Tour, as he has named the tour, begins in Hastings and ends in Bournemouth, with a finale at London’s Camden Barfly on November 10.

Si said: "I've spent ten years building my career one song and one audience at a time.

"The Walking Tour simply takes that idea to its natural conclusion — travelling the same way I've built my music career, slowly, honestly and by connecting with people along the way."

There will be no tour bus or support vehicle.

Every mile between venues will be walked, reflecting Si's long-standing commitment to independence and direct audience engagement.

His debut album Youth, War & Joy was written while living out of his car.

The tour is supported by BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music, BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio, Kerrang! Radio, and BBC One’s The One Show.

Over the past decade, Mr Connelly has performed alongside artists including Ocean Colour Scene, Starsailor, KT Tunstall, Dexys, Bob Mould, Space, Boyzlife and Skipinnish.

He has toured extensively throughout the UK, Europe and the United States.

Si has released a large catalogue of work, including monthly EPs, several studio albums, the live album Less of Me Left, and his most recent album, Loneliness in the Making, which came out earlier this year.

Two more albums, Wedding Singer and Change, are due out later in 2026.

The Walking Tour will also raise money for local and national charities, with each route fully documented and shared with his growing online audience.

Si began his journey in music with traditional recording and publishing deals through Sony/RCA and EMI, but later chose full creative independence.

He has since built a loyal following through consistent releases and live performances.

Si has also written for other major artists and continues to expand his reach through touring and new music.

His new single, Save Me, was released on September 4 and marks his first release since Loneliness in the Making.

The song is described as a heartfelt, folk-inspired track about the power of human connection and the impact of small acts of kindness.

The Walking Tour aims to reinforce the value of independent music and the importance of connecting with audiences in a personal way.
