Gale force winds are expected to sweep across parts of Essex, with coastal areas forecast to be hit the hardest.
Tendring, specifically the stretch from Clacton to Harwich, could see gusts of up to 38mph today, September 4, as part of a wider spell of unsettled weather affecting much of the county.
Winds of 38mph are at the threshold of gale-force conditions, strong enough to make walking difficult and bring the risk of minor disruption.
Heavy rain is also forecast for the morning, raising the risk of flooding along parts of the coast.
Elsewhere in the region, strong winds are expected to border on gale force, with Colchester forecast to see gusts of up to 36mph, Southend up to 35mph, and Chelmsford and Brentwood both reaching 34mph.
Motorists, particularly those driving high-sided vehicles, are advised to take extra care on open routes, bridges, and coastal roads where conditions are likely to be most hazardous.
