AN Essex sculptor who worked on The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will be appearing at Invasion Colchester.
Steve Braund, from Mind Magic Studios in Sible Hedingham, spent six months this year sculpting armour and other pieces for season three of the Amazon Prime series.
He will appear as a guest movie sculptor at Invasion Colchester on Saturday, September 5, where he will be sculpting live for visitors throughout the day.
Steve said: "After attending Invasion as a costumer for many years, I’m thrilled to be attending as a guest.
"I’ll be sculpting armour so if you’re interested in sculpting, creatures, armour, and the movies then do drop by for a chat."
The free event will take place across Colchester city centre from 10am to 4pm in support of St Helena Hospice, Colchester and Ipswich Hospitals Charity, and Mind (Mid and North East Essex).

Steve has worked as a practical sculptor for more than a decade, with credits including Fluxx, which won awards at the Malibu, Burbank and Mammoth film festivals, and ManFish, which won best feature at both Sci-Fi London and the Romford Horror Film Festival.
He trained under Hollywood sculptor Don Lanning, known for his work on Star Trek, and Gary Pollard, whose credits include The Labyrinth and Harry Potter.
Some of his work for The Rings of Power was worn by the Nazgnagôl during the show's San Diego Comic-Con panel in July.
