Emergency services were called to an Essex town this morning following reports of a crash involving a pedestrian.
Paramedics attended the junction of Colchester Road and Heath Road, Wivenhoe after receiving a call at around 8am today (Wednesday, September 2).
One person was taken to hospital for further treatment after the collision, which involved a car and a pedestrian.
An East of England Ambulance spokesperson said: “We were called today at 8:00 AM to a collision between a car and a pedestrian on the junction between Colchester Road and Heath Road, Wivenhoe.

“An ambulance was sent to the scene, and one patient was transported to Colchester General Hospital for further treatment.”
Essex County Fire and Rescue Service crews were also involved after being alerted to the injured man while returning to their station.
An Essex Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Wivenhoe’s crew were on their way back to the station when they were flagged down in Colchester Road at 8.20am by a member of the public after a man had sustained an injury.
“They assessed the casualty and waited with them until police and ambulance arrived.
“The crew left the scene at 8.29am.”
Essex Police were also in attendance.
