Fire crews tackle blaze at Harlow recycling centre

Firefighters were called to an incident at a recycling centre in Harlow yesterday afternoon.

Essex County Fire and Rescue Service was mobilised to Perry Road shortly after 1.25pm, where crews dealt with a fire at the site.

Firefighters brought the incident under control and remained at the scene until the blaze had been fully extinguished.

An Essex County Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Firefighters were called to a fire at a recycling centre in Perry Road, Harlow at 1:29pm.

“On arrival, crews reported three containers were on fire and worked to put the fires out by 2:45pm. The fire was caused accidentally.”
