RESIDENTS will have the opportunity to find out more about roundabout works in Colchester as part of a £15.2 million redevelopment project.
The contractor responsible for delivering the transformation of St Botolph's Circus is hosting a public drop-in event to explain how the work will be carried out and answer questions from residents.
The drop-in event will take place at St Botolph's Church on August 6 from 2.30pm to 6.30pm, with works expected to be completed in autumn 2027.
Essex County Council has appointed Jackson Civil Engineering to deliver the project, which forms part of wider plans to improve infrastructure and public spaces across the city.
Preparatory work has already begun, including site surveys and the establishment of site compounds and office facilities.

The event comes ahead of more visible construction activity starting at the busy roundabout.
Representatives from Jackson Civil Engineering will be available to discuss the project, including the different phases of construction and traffic management measures that will be in place during the works.
The regeneration of St Botolph's Circus is being overseen by Team Colchester, a partnership between Essex County Council and Colchester City Council, and is being funded through government investment.
Tim Honeyball, project manager at Jackson, said: “We are pleased to be delivering this important project for Colchester.
"We appreciate the need to keep traffic moving and we are coordinating our works with the nearby East Hill project.
“Our aim is to maintain two lanes of traffic during peak times around the roundabout.”
